Black Breasted Old English Game Bantam Chickens
Bantam Old English Chickens are some of the most popular and oldest breeds of show bantams in the whole country. In 1865 ,Old English Bantams were first recognized by the British Standard and were first shown in the US in 1914.
Black Breasted Old English Bantams are one of the more beautiful varieties of the breed. They were also one of the first Old English varieties admitted to the standard as game bantams. The head, hackle and saddle plumage of the male is a beautiful and deep red-orange. Their primary wing feathers are black as are the front of their neck and body. Females have a golden-red head with an orange and black striped hackle. Their breasts are salmon colored and their backs are a golden brown.
