Eastern Wild Turkeys are a beautiful wild turkey breed. They have had a consistent and growing population in the back country and of the Eastern United States since Colonists first arrived in America. The Eastern Wild Turkey was also used by poultry farmers to create many of today’s Commercial and Heritage Turkey Breeds. This was done by crossing them with turkey breeds brought from Europe.
The Eastern Wild Turkey is an excellent flying breed. You will find them in many forests, cultivated pastures, or agricultural fields up and down the Eastern United States. This breed is also extremely hardy and can adapt to many different environments. The Eastern Wild Turkey is the most abundant and widely hunted wild turkey in North America.
Before ordering the Eastern Wild Turkey please check with your State Game Regulatory Agencies to make sure you are able to legally purchase and raise Eastern Wild Turkeys.
