Instructions and Notes

  • For maximum growth and feed efficiency, ensure the birds has continuous access to feed. You need not restrict feed intake, unless you are raising a meat breed such as the Jumbo Cornish Cross.
  • Feed consumption will vary based on breed, age, and environment of your poultry.

  • When your birds are of the age to transition to a more mature feed, mix this Starter Feed with the newer feed (such as Organic Layer Developer) for a few days.

Starter feed July 23, 2014
Reviewer: Nisa Rauschenberg from Nyack, NY United States
The ducks love it, but it comes with no instructions like whether or not to add water (I do). The ducklings seem to love it and they  have almost tripled in size since I got them 1 week ago. It must be doing its job.

Decent so far July 16, 2014
Reviewer: Sabrina Wills from Madison, WI United States
I haven't gotten my ducks yet so I'm not sure how it'll work with them but I thought the starter feed would be more pellets and not like sawdust. We'll see how it goes!

Thanks for you review Sabrina. Most starter feeds are crumbles, not pellets. The reason for this is that in infancy, small birds have a difficult time digesting larger pellet style feeds. I hope you enjoy your ducks!
