Mallard Ducks

Mallards Ducks are perhaps the most widely recognized of all waterfowl species in North America. It is suspected that all domestic ducks originated with the Wild Mallard. Males especially exhibit rich and deep colors and plumage and make them very popular. Wild Mallards are common in almost all parts of North America, making them very popular as pets for a wide variety of waterfowl enthusiasts. Our ducklings for sale are purebred, domesticated Mallards, and though they are visually identical to the wild Mallards, they have been bred in a domestic setting and may have lost some wild instincts. Fortunately, our domestic mallards will still do an excellent job hatching and raising a few broods of ducklings each year.

Mallards are relatively small birds and thus they will be able to fly handily. Most types of mallards for sale will be able to fly in spurts at about 10 weeks of age, and will be excellent flyers by week 16. If you are looking for a larger bird without the ability to fly, we recommend the Rouen, which is a bit calmer and more sociable. Male and Female Mallard Ducklings will have the same coloration until about week 14, when the males will begin to exhibit the recognizable green headed Mallard coloration. We also offer Mallard Duck Hatching Eggs for sale.

These Domesticated Mallards are raised for a variety of purposes including pets, hunting game, exotic meat products, and show ducks. They make excellent companions as you can release them onto a pond or lake and allow them to live as a natural bird, yet they will still visit their owners regularly for food and socialization.

Like most waterfowl, it's best to acquire Mallards when they are very young so that they develop an inherent comfort around humans. When you order your Mallard Ducklings from eFowl.com, you will receive them when they are just 24-48 hours old. This will allow them to undertake the imprinting process with you, yielding a wonderful pet and friend.

One suggestion -- you might think of emailing the duck care instructions several days before you receive the ducks so that you are prepared with food, heating light, hay, etc.
Hi Chris, Thanks for your note.  That is a great suggestion.  We've actually been doing exactly as you ask ever since we've been in businesses.  If you double check the email we sent you notifying you of your shipping date (sent at about 6pm Pacific Time on 03/16), you will see the care guide (look under Care Instructions section).  Thanks! ~Austin, CSR

2nd Times A Charm January 14, 2015
Reviewer: Nyla Harper from Gary, IN United States
They were very understanding and replaced all of my ducklings with 4 extra! The reason why will be listed below. The total of ducklings I received was 14. I paid for 10 and got 14 ducklings. Made me so happy!  All are healthy and happy in their brooder. Efowl keeps to their word! I highly recommend Efowl to everyone!

I ordered 10 mallards ST.R with Gro Gell Plus. When they arrived, there was 12 and all were dead. Right after I placed my order, I called and emailed efowl stating that it is very cold outside arround this time of year, I requested that the ducklings have the Styrofoam insulation with heating pack. They Failed to do so. Ducks arrived cold and dead with little bedding and too many hole poke in the box. I emailed and called efowl rapidly until they answered their phones. They kindly set up a reshipment and followed through with my requests! Thank you so much for my lovely bundles of joy!
