Mallard Ducks

Mallards Ducks are perhaps the most widely recognized of all waterfowl species in North America. It is suspected that all domestic ducks originated with the Wild Mallard. Males especially exhibit rich and deep colors and plumage and make them very popular. Wild Mallards are common in almost all parts of North America, making them very popular as pets for a wide variety of waterfowl enthusiasts. Our ducklings for sale are purebred, domesticated Mallards, and though they are visually identical to the wild Mallards, they have been bred in a domestic setting and may have lost some wild instincts. Fortunately, our domestic mallards will still do an excellent job hatching and raising a few broods of ducklings each year.

Mallards are relatively small birds and thus they will be able to fly handily. Most types of mallards for sale will be able to fly in spurts at about 10 weeks of age, and will be excellent flyers by week 16. If you are looking for a larger bird without the ability to fly, we recommend the Rouen, which is a bit calmer and more sociable. Male and Female Mallard Ducklings will have the same coloration until about week 14, when the males will begin to exhibit the recognizable green headed Mallard coloration. We also offer Mallard Duck Hatching Eggs for sale.

These Domesticated Mallards are raised for a variety of purposes including pets, hunting game, exotic meat products, and show ducks. They make excellent companions as you can release them onto a pond or lake and allow them to live as a natural bird, yet they will still visit their owners regularly for food and socialization.

Like most waterfowl, it's best to acquire Mallards when they are very young so that they develop an inherent comfort around humans. When you order your Mallard Ducklings from, you will receive them when they are just 24-48 hours old. This will allow them to undertake the imprinting process with you, yielding a wonderful pet and friend.

We Bought 10 Mallard Ducks, That Arrived On Time And In Excellent Health. The Ducks Were Thrilled To Get Out But Didn't Seem Traumatized By Their Trip. We Have Them Food And Water Right Away And They Didn't Even Seem All That Thirsty Or Hungry. I Would Definitely Recommend Efowl For Any Of Your Poultry Needs.

Mallard Ducklings July 22, 2014
Reviewer: Sabrina Wills
They got postponed which was upsetting because I'm leaving for college soon and was hoping to get them ASAP but I understand things happen. Only advice is maybe to send the duckling care pamphlet before the ducks arrive to make sure the buyer has all the supplies. The ducks are doing great!

Great Customer Service July 14, 2014
Reviewer: Thomas Reed from Greene, NY United States
I started by ordering 3 drakes and 4 hens, once they arrived one of the drakes unfortunately didn't make it. Contacted eFowl and they were more than happy to credit my account for another order which I only wanted to replace the 1, since shipping a single bird wasn't safe I placed another order of 3 drakes and 2 hens. They shipped out about 8 weeks after my first order and all made it home. eFowl has great customer service!!

All but one May 8, 2014
Reviewer: Anna from Holden, MA United States
all the babies came in healthy and happy, there was one that we assumed was the runt due to it's deformed foot, he lived 2-3 days after they came. but i didn't mind even though it was sad, we still had the same amount of duckling because efowl sent us an extra of a different breed, but that is okay. Thank you!
