Description FAQs, Sizes and Additional Info

Khaki Campbell Ducks

The Khaki Campbell Duck is a hard and vigorous foraging breed that is most well known and popular for it's prolific egg laying capabilities. Khaki Campbells are an active medium sized breed of duck that is perfect if you have plenty of space for free ranging and foraging. They may not make the best pets due to their flighty and active disposition, but they will produce impressive numbers of fresh duck eggs for human consumption for you and your family. Khaki Campbell females are quite popular, outselling males by a large margin. Please note that if you purchase straight run birds, we will send you truly straight run birds. We will not first pick out all of the females for other orders. This courtesy makes us an extremely popular and cost effective resource to obtain these birds for egg production.

Khaki Campbell hens are capable of producing eggs most of the year, as long as the basic conditions of their environment are right. The egg production of the Khaki Campbell can even exceed that of domestic chickens. On average, the birds is capable of laying 300 eggs per year. If you are looking for a duck breed that is more personable with a calmer disposition that may be better for families with smaller children, you should consider the Golden 300 Hybrid. The Golden 300 Hybrid will not be as active of a forager, but his breed will match or surpass the egg laying abilities of the Khaki Campbell.

Khaki Campbell ducks are very active with their streamlined build. They have a sturdy and upright posture, as part of their breeding origin is from the Indian Runner Duck. Other than a few hybrid duck breeds like the Golden 300 Hybrid and the White Golden Layer, the Khaki Campbell Duck is the best pure bred egg laying duck that we sell.

delivery problems. October 22, 2014
Reviewer: Steve Tino from Highland, MI United States
My order was postponed twice. No one contacted me until i asked for an update. The 2nd time i was told a delivery date i am told the day after the date that you didnot ship because of columbus day. somebody should of known that before i was told a date. if this order was not a gift i would of canceled.

Hello Steve,

I apologize for the delays. Our day old waterfowl shipments will usually be mailed out on Mondays, however due to the Columbus Day postal holiday, they could not be shipped the day they were planned and instead were mailed the following day. We understand this can be inconvenient to our customers, in the future we will contact our customers ahead of time to inform them of the holiday delay. As for the first delay, live birds do not hatch exactly as planned every time. Short hatches force us to delay a shipping date, we have no recourse other than to schedule the birds on the next available day.

Thank you for your input,

She's a beauty! August 12, 2014
Reviewer: Rachel Mathis from Valrico, FL United States
This duck came with a mixed group of six types of ducklings - all received in great shape. Very pleased with the order.  I was impressed with Susanna's (sp.) care of packing the birds (there was a label on the box indicating who packed them, which was a nice touch). They were delivered to the post office closest to my workplace and I received a prompt call when they arrived. I had a temporary brooder already set up in my office to ensure they would have water and heat right away since it was my first order and I was unsure what time of day they would arrive.  They were certainly the stars of the day with all of the photos and videos my coworkers took of them.  Will use eFowl for future purchases.  Would not be surprised if some of my coworkers do, too.
