Fawn and White Runners are very similar to the
Penciled Indian Runner Duck. However,
Fawn and White Runners are generally a bit lighter in their brown hues. Also,
Penciled Indian Runners may have some black spots on their backs and flanks, while these birds will not.
Indian Runners are known as the most active foraging breed of duck, constantly searching out insects, slugs, and other edibles. This behavior creates an interesting and unique alternative to harmful pesticides, which farmers and gardeners find economical and environmentally friendly.
The erect, regal stature along with the strong legs and attractive gate make this bird a highly competitive show duck.
