Another popular trait of the Cochiin Chicken is its exceptional sitting and mothering abilities. They are known to make great mothers to not only newly hatched baby chicks, but also to other domestic poultry species like ducks, turkeys or geese. Often, farmers will use the Cochin Chicken to hatch fertile eggs of many chicken breeds and other poultry species.
