We sell Juvenile Teal Duck Pairs that were hatched in the previous Spring season. These ducks will come as male/female pairs and in the appropriate environment they will mate and lay eggs during the next breeding season. We sell a large variety of Teal Ducks, and many are native to North America and the United States. Most Teal Ducks are beautifully colored and have their own distinct plumage patterns.
All Teal Ducks are part of the dabbling duck family, meaning they get their food by feeding in shallow ponds and wetlands by ducking their head under and nabbing different aquatic plant and animal life. Some Teal Ducks live on coastlines and even eat marine crustaceans and mollusks. In the wild, many varieties of Teal Duck will migrate thousands of miles for the winter. Sometimes even as far as Venezuela from the United States in one year.
Teal Ducks are a very small breed of duck, some of the varieties being the smallest dabbling ducks in the world. The will be able to fly quite easily so it is important to have an appropriate environment for them to live comfortable. One great thing about most varieties of Teal Ducks is that they are a calm duck species that will get along well with other breeds. This is a great breed for beginning bird collectors who need a calm bird that can be raised without too much difficulty
We ship our Juvenile Teal Ducks from October to April during the cooler months of the year.
These duck are safely and comfortably shipped in poultry boxes specialized for shipping adult birds. You will receive your ducks approximately 1-3 days after shipping. All adult birds are sold in Male/Female Pairs.
