Blue Runner Ducks
The
Blue Runner duck or
Cumberland Blue duck is another colorful addition to the extensive
Indian Runner Family. The
Blue Runner is an avid forager like other

As distinguished egg laying breed, the
Blue Runner hen can yield between 100 and 300 eggs per year. The
Blue Runner duck will rival the best common hens in annual egg production, and it's versatility as a farm animal lead to vast popularity among duck breeders. Runners yield small amounts of meat tasting similar to wild duck but is not typically known for it's table quality.
As with any other blue duck, blue x blue matings with the
Blue Indian Runner duck should produce approximately 1/4 black, 1/2 blue, and 1/4 silver ducklings.
