Blue Indian Runner Duck Hatching Eggs

The Blue Runner duck or Cumberland Blue duck is another colorful addition to the extensive Indian Runner Family. The Blue Runner is an avid forager like other Runners, picking out slugs, snails, bugs and other nuisances found in the garden or around the yard. Innovative gardeners and farmers raise Blue Runner ducklings to act as a natural, eco-friendly, green pesticide for their gardens.

As distinguished egg laying breed, the Blue Runner hen can yield between 100 and 300 eggs per year. The Blue Runner duck will rival the best common hens in annual egg production, and it's versatility as a farm animal lead to vast popularity among duck breeders. Runners yield small amounts of meat tasting similar to wild duck but is not typically known for it's table quality.

Hatching Duck Egg Info

Hatching Duck eggs require an incubator to hatch correctly. These are available at a wide range of websites and also at local farm supply stores. We will have them on eFowl.com shortly.

Fertilized Duck Eggs can be safely transported for about 10 days before they will no longer hatchable. We guarantee that all the eggs we sell will arrive to you intact and in a hatchable condition. However, given the nature of this product and the skill it takes for one to successfully hatch a duckling egg, we cannot guarantee that your eggs will actually hatch.

The eggs arrived in perfect condition. I felt they arrived later than I thought had been promised. Packaging is perfect for eggs. To date, 4 of 20 have spoiled in the incubator, but we anticipate a good hatching this coming week.
