Black Runner Ducks
The
Black Runner Duck is the slick, black variant of the
Indian Runner Family. The
Black Indian Runner duck has an active disposition, almost always scouring the earth for bugs and pests. The Chinese have used
Indian Runner ducks in the rice fields as pest control against slugs, snails and other bugs for hundreds of years.
While the
Black Runner is energetic, it is not capable of prolonged flight. They have a very strong flock mentality, which can sometimes cause larger groups of

Black Runner duck should not be too large, but should have strong legs and a smooth running stride. The
