Black East India Duck

Black EAst India Ducks are characterized by striking dark features. Their black bill, black plumage and spectacular iridescent green undertones make the adults some of the most beautiful of all duck breeds.

Black East India Ducks are predominately bred for decoration and exhibition. This duck breed is well known as a excellent exhibition duck and makes a wonderful pet as well.

For those who wish to keep ducks, but live close to others that would make keeping the Pekin impractical because of the large size, The Black East India duck is a recommended alternative as it is not as large of a duck breed as the Pekin duck. Black East India Ducks are excellent fliers, and do best when kept in pairs or trios.
