Assorted Rare Turkeys

Choosing the Rare Turkey Assortment is the most economical way to receive a great clutch of day old heritage turkey poults.

Rare Turkey Breeds are beautifully colored poultry that American farm owners and backyard poultry breeders have enjoyed raising for their meat production and aesthetic appeal for many generations. We offer a great variety of Heritage Turkey Breeds, many exhibiting beautiful plumage patterns and colors. Some breeds are rarer than others, but all Heritage Breeds are a joy to raise and will naturally reproduce and thrive in free range environments.

Two different breeds and very nice and healthy. All are hungry and eating good. I am glad I chose the surplus option.

Turkeys Review April 25, 2014
Reviewer: Steven Novak from Athens, AL United States
Turkeys arrived on time and all alive, but 2 died the next day the rest are doing fine.

The box that the Turkeys were delivered in also had chickens in it.  There was a devider but the chickens and turkeys were mixed anyways.  This woulld normally be an issue but Turkeys are suppose to be kept away from chickens until there at least 3 months old do to a disease they can catch from the chickens.

Hello Steven,

Turkeys and chickens ship quite well together. In fact turkey poults are rather incapable of taking care of themselves at a young age and the relatively more intelligent chicks help the turkeys learn to eat and stay warm in a mutually beneficial relationship. However, we do not recommend raising Chickens and Turkeys together after the first 1-2 weeks. Turkeys can catch diseases from chickens and are more prone to health issues when raised with chickens. I hope this note helps clarify the situation.

Thanks for your business!
Harry, CSR
